WNY Nichiren Buddhist Sangha

Welcome to the Western New York Nichiren Buddhist Sangha. Among these pages you will find information on our practice, some history of Nichiren Shu Buddhism, and various event photos. Currently our Sangha has postponed public services. We do however hold private services twice a month for members. If you are interested in membership or finding out more about Nichiren Shu, you can contact us at wnysangha@gassho-do.com. We are happy to meet on an individual basis to discuss Buddhism and aid you in your practice.

Our Sangha follows the teachings of the Eternal Shakyamuni Buddha as reveled in the Lotus Sutra. Our founder, Nichiren Shonin, taught the essence of the Lotus Sutra as expressed in the characters Namu Myoho Renge Kyo: The great title of the Lotus Sutra.

Through our practice and daily living, we are able to put into action the teachings of the Buddha and develop our true nature of goodness and compassion.
